I would have just spent my bucks somewhere else, perhaps Fargo. I've had better crab sandwiches in Salt Lake City for gosh sakes. How I wished I had been in Dana Point, Laguna Beach, San Francisco or New Zealand instead (Ohhh, New Zealand) where I've had great crab sandwiches. Each time I walked passed the market I ask folks eating outside what they though. I had upgraded to the plate for $4 more and got some fries and lettuce. The worst aspect however, my crab sandwich wasn't very good at all. What a disappointment! I found the prices for fresh fish and the tasties offered to be exorbitant. From kimchi to sushi, lumpia to summer rolls, pad thai to udon, ramen to pho, rendang to red curry, ginger candies to ginseng extract, chow foon to moon cakes.we carry almost everthing you can and cannot think of. I've loved similar coastal establishment I've found around the world so I couldn't wait to eat here too. Welcome to Los, where youll find a great selection of ingredients you need to make authentic Asian cuisine. After all, the reviews of this market sound great. The thing that sold me on staying there was it's next to this fish market that offered sea tasties. I noticed beach area for the children just outside the restaurant.I was way less than impressed by Point Loma Seafoods! How can this be rated so highly on tripadvisor? There's something fishy going on here! In looking for a clean place to spend a few days I found the Vagabond Inn next door. When we was there there was a masseur lady at the property in 1 of 2 places available for the guests daily. Mobile data access works in the village without a problem. No mobile data access, at least not with my True Move SIM Thai sim card (turns out it was a good thing for relaxation, at least for me). WiFi is there - in the restaurant and in the bar but not in the bungalows. It's possible to rent nice new 125cc Yamaha bike at the place.

I heard that the owner is investing in another boat to offer pick up from the ferry (in Dec 2018 you still need to jump on 3rd party longtail boat).

I really enjoyed fishing trip with Tuna (the owner) - it was extremely relaxing to go around the island at the dawn. I stayed long one evening and it turns out they have a guitar and a drum so I was witnessing their music evening even though I was one of only two customers in the bar. Additionally there's Loma beach bar ~150 m away from the bungalows and the restaurant (food was nice). In my opinion you don't need AC in this kind of bangalow as the temperature goes down instantly after the sunset (unlike the buildings in Thai cities that I was in). Located on San Diego Bay, in the historic fishing neighborhood of Point Loma, we offer excellent locally caught seafood with a view of the bay and the San Diego Sportfishing Fleet. We spend there 4 days with girlfriend and NO sign of 'Daniel the Scandinavian' (or any other non-native employee). Mitch's Seafood is casual waterfront dining at its best.
